By the time singer-songwriter Jason Wade formed Lifehouse in his mid-teens, he'd already lived in numerous parts of the world. After an early childhood in Camarillo, California, he traveled with his family to Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong, then back to Portland, Oregon, all before he reached junior high. This nomadic existence resulted in much loneliness for young Wade, and after his parents divorced and he was forced to move yet again--this time with his mother to Seattle--he started writing and playing music to vent his emotions.
